Inverhuron Provincial Park, ON.
Half an hour north of Kincardine, Inverhuron Provincial Park nestles against the shores of Lake Huron and in the shadow of the nearby nuclear power station. This small park is known for its extensive camping and fine, sandy beach. Scroll down for the gallery.

General Stuff
This small park is heavily wooded and known for its small, sandy beach. There are two adjacent campgrounds in the woods where the sites are small but level and private. Locals and cottagers use the beach and people make good use of the parks trails both through the woods, where there is an abundance of wild flowers, and along the lake shore. The Comfort Stations are modern and clean and there are many vault toilets around both campgrounds. As with other Provincial Parks, hookups are limited to 15/30 amps electrical only. This park is a little way off the Bluewater Highway but is well signposted both from the Kincardine direction and from Saugeen Shores. There is no camp store as such but the gatehouse keeps a stock of essentials and of firewood. Kincardine is a big enough town to boast a couple of big grocery stores so supplies are easy to find.

Opinion
We've visited twice now, and stayed in the Gunn Point Campground. Our sites were small by Provincial Park standards but were dry and level. There is only one comfort station between the two campgrounds but there were many vault toilets available if you didn't want to head to the main block. The weather so far north, and right on the lake, can be quite cool and quite wet, so don't expect too many days on the beach if you're going at anything other than peak season. That's not to say that this isn't a nice campground, but it's a three hour drive for us and one that we'd need to leave for a Longer trip. Last visited May 2014.
